Tony Hayward - Chief Executive Officer/MD

Tony Hayward has been in the IT world for some 30 years gaining valuable international experience while setting up the European HQ for Tandem (86-93) as Sales Operations Director and with Holistic Systems/Seagate Software as VP EMEA (93-98); managing P/L, taking Holistic from distributors to a full blown subsidiary network, and integrating the two merging organizations Holistic and Crystal to form Seagate Software IMG.

David Middleton - Chief Technical Officer

David Middleton has developed OLAP software for the past 15 years. First, within his own company Metadev, then using the concepts developed in Metadev joining Holistic Systems to be one of the main architects and sole developer of the Holos worksheet, a multi-dimensional spreadsheet, amongst other projects. Middleton spent his final 18 months at Seagate Software researching and developing Seagate’s strategy with regards to Microsoft’s OLAP products.

Rene Milner - Chief Financial Officer

Rene is a qualified Chartered Accountant with significant private equity and hands on operation experience with multinational companies. Prior to AIM Rene spent four years as a Principal at Lynx Capital Ventures LP a UK based Venture Capital fund. Before Lynx, Rene was the CFO at Virgin Digital Studios a multi national postproduction group acquired by Liberty Livewire in May 2000 and Business Planning Manager at Hertz Europe.

Mike Smitheman – Vice President of Product Management

Mike has worked in the business intelligence industry for over 10 years, influencing product development and working closely with customers to fine-tune their analytics and reporting systems. He began his professional career as a consultant at Seagate Software in the UK, where he mastered the ground-breaking Holos BI platform. He joined AIM Technology in 2000 as a sales analyst.

Jerry Varnum – Vice President of Sales, North America

Jerry Varnum is Vice President of Sales, North America for AIM Technology. Jerry joined AIM in 2003 with 15 years of industry experience in business management and enterprise sales. He was instrumental in acquiring some of AIM’s largest corporate customers, including The Hartford, Comcast, Columbia House and Amtrak. Prior to AIM Technology, Jerry spent seven years with Cognos Corporation, where he held a variety of senior sales and sales management positions. Before Cognos, Jerry was the regional general manager and sales executive for the Boston branch of Events Network. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.

Justin Smith – Vice President of Research & Development

Justin has over 20 years experience in the Business Intelligence industry, the last seven of which he led development and product management teams in the creation of products for enterprise software providers. Justin previously held technology roles at Hewlett Packard, and sales and marketing roles at Gentia Software. Earlier, at Crystal Decisions, he was group program manager for analytical products. Prior to joining AIM Technology, Justin led the creation of Live Office and is a joint patent holder for part of the Business Objects semantic layer. Justin is married with 3 children and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Lincoln, UK.
